Who Benefits

Several development tools as well as excellent resources were used/accessed in the creation of The Quiet Mall. We would like to honor those works by devoting a percentage of the after-tax money received from the sale of our PDF product to these organizations. They include:

Code::Blocks (8%) – Is an integrated development environment for C++ programming. It is free to download and is distributed under the GPL v3.0 license which means it can be used freely by anyone. Link

GIMP, the GNU Image Manipulation Program (8%) – Is an excellent graphics editor with features we have still yet to try. Easy to use for tasks such as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. Link

Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia (8%) – The Wikimedia Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to empower and engage people around the world to collect and develop content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally, free of charge. Some spaces in The Quiet Mall would be vacant were it not for the hard work of the people behind this organization. Links to particularly helpful Wikipedia articles are included in our published product. Link

The Accountant’s Office’s page will provide an ongoing summary of The Quiet Mall’s initial costs, expenditures and amounts sent to the above entities. Please see that page for additional information.
