If we can see the surface of a distant planet and listen to the wind as it whips by an artificial ear, can we not imagine ourselves there? Where is the threshold? Many environments place you outside your avatar's body so you can see how your control affects the digital puppet. Only when we become the avatar and receive appropriate feedback through our senses will we truly be digital creatures.
