Designers

We started this category with a simple discussion. Who are the big names in fashion? Our list filled up quickly. Feeling smug we looked further... only to find that we were woefully unaware of the number of design houses in existance. And such diversity!

We have made our effort to sort them into areas despite the crippling hinderance of our crypto-bourgeois preferences for which we apologize. In Names we find, for the most part, all of the labels we too quickly remembered in our initial accounting. They have earned their O-levels and we do not deny them but we found ourself adding others when we sensed a close relation. If those in the Notable section feel snubbed by their placement then they may sooth themselves with the fact that they impressed us. We always want to be able to see what new/creative designs they are bringing to market. For the adventurous among us we created the Rogue section. Edgy, unique, forward-thinking, backward-reflecting, but above all unexpected.

Finally in The Runway we put togther a mini fashion show using all of the designer's websites. Where catwalk videos were present we directed you to them so you can sit back, nibble a bit and pretend you were one of the selected invitees to the Gala. Fun Fun.
